Slow pace of probe into Sowjanya, Deepika cases deplored

The All College Students Association of Mangalore has deplored the snail’s pace of investigation into the case of suspicious death of Deepika, a student of St Ann’s College and that of the case of murder of SDM College Student Sowjanya.
The Association office bearers who spoke to reporters in Mangalore on January 15, Tuesday, said so far there is no information on the progress of investigation and added the authorities have maintained a silence. They also said no arrests have been made in the Sowjanya case even after the case was handed over to the CID.
They said they had approached the Ullal police station on several occasions seeking information on the investigation into the Deepika case but of no avail.
