Another rape in Belthangady: 16 year old Minor Girl raped by unknown Man

A 16-year-old PU student was allegedly raped in a village near Belthangady Monday evening.

Superintendent of Police Abhishek Goyal said the perpetrator followed the girl when she was walking towards her house. The perpetrator then pushed the girl to an isolated place and raped her.

Passers-by rushed to the spot hearing her cries for help. Just as people reached, the perpetrator left the scene. Goyal said the girl does not know the perpetrator.

He said police have taken statements of people who have seen the perpetrator following the girl. Efforts were on trace the rapist, Goyal said.
