PADUBIDRI : Students of the Kaup First Grade College and Dandatheertha College took to the streets recently to protest against the Sowjanya rape and murder case and the Delhi gang rape. The protest call was given by the ABVP.
The students who took out a jatha held a protest
meet in Kaup town. Addressing the protestors, student leader
Purushottam Poojari demanded stern action against
the perpetrators of the Delhi gang rape as well as the Sowjanya rape
and murder case. He also blamed the failure of the State as well as the
Union Governments for the rising crime against women.
