Sowjanya Rape and Murder accused Santhosh to be shifted to Bangalore prison.

Belthangady, Dec 28,2012: The CID which is investigating into the Sowjanya rape and murder case, has decided to  shift Santosh Rao, the lone person arrested in connection with the  case, to the Parappana Agrahara Prison in Bangalore.

The CID cops had already made an appeal in this  regard in the court.
The petition  had said that Santosh Rao said to be mentally unstable, could be treated in Bangalore for his mental illness if he was shifted to the Parappana Agrahara prison. However , a decision in this regard was delayed as the accused too had to agree for the shifting. Reports now say that even Santosh Rao has agreed to his shifting.

On the other hand, it has been gathered that during interrogation by CID sleuths, Santosh  used to remain silent and pretend to be mentally ill whenever questioned about Sowjanya rape and murder case, though otherwise he gave satisfactory reply to other queries.

The police will now inquire Santosh in Bangalore  after  providing him higher treatment if required.
